All Three of the Ball Brothers Have Officially Made It to the NBA

Since the turn of the century, only four sets of brothers have both played in the NBA. The most recent and most successful example are the Ball brothers: Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo. All three Ball brothers have now made it to the NBA, with Lonzo being the most accomplished thus far. Here is a guide to all three of the Ball brothers and their accomplishments in the NBA.
Lonzo Ball Jr.:
Lonzo Ball was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers as the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He had a successful rookie season, averaging 10.2 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.9 rebounds per game. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. In his second season, Ball struggled with injuries and only played in 52 games. He averaged 9.9 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game. Lonzo ball was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2019 as part of the blockbuster Anthony Davis trade. He had a breakout season with the Pelicans, averaging 19.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game. He was named to the NBA All-Star Game and was voted as a starter by the fans.

LiAngelo Ball:
LiAngelo Ball was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers as the 28th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He has yet to play an NBA game and is currently signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
LaMelo Ball:
LaMelo Ball was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets as the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He is currently averaging 15.7 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game. He was named to the NBA All- Rookie First Team.
All three of the Ball brothers have now made it to the NBA, with Lonzo being the most accomplished thus far. LiAngelo and LaMelo are still early in their careers but have shown promise thus far. It will be interesting to see how all three of them develop over time and if they can continue to make an impact in the league.
